Beautiful Rio Blanco County Colorado Gets Broadband
Alamon is a proud participant in the effort to bring high speed broadband to residents of Rio Blanco County in Colorado. As part of the CAF II rural broadband deployment project Alamon technicians supported Calix for the installation, testing and turn up.
The Rio Blanco Broadband Project will help make a real difference in the lives of residents of the towns of Meeker (famous for its annual Meeker Classic Sheepdog Championship Trials) and Rangely. The importance of modern Internet service was noted in an article in Rio Blanco County’s Herald Times in November.
“Our goal is to have 100 percent accessibility to everyone who lives here,” said Blake Mobley, the IT director for Rio Blanco County. “Our ultimate goal is to position the county as a modern, world-class destination for tourism, business growth, safe, healthy, happy living and as an ideal place to raise, educate and retain your family. To accomplish this community goal, we need quality Internet.”
